Martha@…The 1963 Interview

“Richard Move’s channeling of the Modern Dance Diva is too brilliant for words.” – Gia Kourlas, Time Out New York

Martha@…The 1963 Interview is a metatheatrical recreation of the legendary 92nd Street Y interview with Martha Graham and dance critic Walter Terry. The production commemorates the momentous date of Graham’s passing (April 1, 1991) and marks Richard Move’s return as Graham to New York, with a new incarnation of the celebrated Martha @… series. Actress/playwright Lisa Kron, who portrays Terry, received two Tony Award nominations for Well, including Best Actress. Other honors include Obie, Bessie and GLAAD Awards. Kron’s In the Wake was recently produced at the Public Theater. This world premiere also features dancers Catherine Cabeen and Katherine Crockett, with multimedia design by Gabriel Barcia-Colombo.
